PET SURGERY PERFORMED WITH SAFETY & COMFORT

We provide elective surgical procedures, including neuter, spays, and mass removals. We are also able to provide a majority of emergency and non-elective surgical procedures such as c-sections, intestinal foreign body removals, urinary bladder stone removals, amputations, and more. Sunrise is now equipped with advanced electrocautery and Ligasure for major procedures.

Dog and Cat Surgery Safety from Start to Finish

Whether performing a routine spay or neuter, or something more complex like cystotomy, we always take care to reduce risk at every step of the way. Before surgery, we highly recommend doing a pre-anesthetic exam and bloodwork on your pet to ensure they haven’t had any recent changes in their health that could affect anesthesia. Additionally, we monitor your pet with equipment that reads their vitals including heart rate, blood oxygen levels, respiratory rate, blood pressure, body temperature and more. They also receive fluid therapy through an IV catheter, which prevents dehydration and stabilizes their blood pressure.

Pain Medication for Comfort Throughout

Any surgery comes with some pain during recovery. Pain is not only uncomfortable, it can also hinder the healing process. When pets are concerned about pain, their stress levels rise with cortisol levels which in turn can hamper cell activity and slow healing. At Sunrise Veterinary Services, we administer pain medication before as well as after surgery. We will also send you home with pain medications and detailed at-home care instructions. Our goal is to make every pet surgery as smooth and pain-free as possible.
